CALMIT is a research center that is jointly administered by the UNL Conservation and Survey Division and the School of Natural Resources (SNR). CALMIT offers courses related to geospatial technologies through the Geography department and Natural Resource Sciences.

Is there a GIS/LIS group in Nebraska?
The Nebraska GIS/LIS Association, Inc. is a growing non-profit organization of Nebraska professionals involved in GIS, remote sensing, GPS, and related technologies. There is also a Nebraska GIS Steering Committee.

Where can I find Satellite Imagery?
CALMIT provides imagery for Nebraska in the Data and Maps section of this website. Visit the USGS EROS Data Center for national coverage and additional images.

What type of data collection is done by CALMIT?
CALMIT maintains sensors on numerous platforms for data collection. CALMIT maintains a field research facility at the Agricultural Research and Development Center and a Spectrometry Lab on campus.
