A NASA-supported activity to develop, test and implement terrestrial water storage information derived from the analysis of GRACE data and other observations using advanced land data assimilation modeling techniques to estimate shallow and root-zone soil moisture and groundwater. Work included testing the GRACE soil moisture and groundwater anomaly data in the U.S. Drought Monitor and other drought monitoring systems across the world. Additional information about the GRACE soil moisture and groundwater information and this project can be found at:  http://nasagrace.unl.edu.
