Training Facilities
CALMIT provides training in the geospatial technologies through university classes, short courses, seminars, web tutorials and video-conferencing.
Training is conducted at CALMIT's PC Lab, the University of Nebraska Technology Park and on-site for special events. CALMIT faculty have extensive experience in current remote sensing and GIS software.
Classes
The following university classes are offered on-campus at CALMIT's pc training lab.

Introduction to Geographic Information Systems by Jim Merchant: Provides students an introduction to GIS concepts and provides hands-on training in ArcGIS.

Applied Remote Sensing by Don Rundquist: Provides students with an understanding of the science and applications behind remote sensing.

Special Problems by faculty: Provides the opportunity to participate in unique research applications. Examples include coral, sea-grass and mangroves research in Roatan, Honduras and the joint video-conferencing course.
