This data layer provides an inventory of active center pivot irrigation systems in Nebraska for the 2005 growing season. Center pivots were identified using multi-date 2005 Landsat 5 satellite imagery and 2005 Farm Service Agency (FSA) Ortho Imagery. This project is part of a joint research project with the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources.

Identifying irrigated areas provides important information necessary to supplement the hydrologic modeling in Nebraska.
